形態特徵

• Small shrubs with creeping rhizomes; stems ascending, usually branched, up to 45 cm tall, minutely fuscous-lepidote when young.
• Leaves obovate or elliptic, apex obtuse or short obtusely acuminate or acute, base cuneate or acute, usually undulate or obtusely dentate above middle, sometimes entire, glabrous above, lepidote below.
• Inflorescences 3–10-Flowered, pedunculate. Calyx lobes usually triangular-ovate, lepidote below, margins ciliate; corolla lobes white or pink, triangular-ovate, not punctate; stamens not punctate; ovary subglobose, glabrous; ovules 5 or 6 in a whorl.
• Fruit globose, black.

分布

• 台灣 : at low altitudes in the north and south.
• 世界 : Malaysia, Indochina, China and the Ryukyus.
